School-Wide Covid-19 Testing on Friday

Dear MPH students,

MPH expects that employees and students (i.e. those who would be teaching and learning on campus as opposed to via simulcast access) will choose to participate in the school-wide testing on Friday, December 4 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., organized by the Onondaga County Health Department. Families have received a link to register their children for this test. Testing will take place on campus; we will provide specific details about the testing process by Thursday.

There will be no K-12 distance-learning classes on Friday.

Onondaga County health officials will administer the BinaxNOW COVID-19 Ag Card Rapid Antigen Test. This test involves a painless, lower nasal cavity swab, taking just a few seconds. Please watch the brief video of Nurse Christine Civello and second-grader Jack demonstrating the quick-and-easy test-taking procedure:

You will be informed ONLY in the event of a positive test result. No news is good news. Assume that your test result is negative unless you hear otherwise.

When should I arrive on Friday, December 4? If you are able to adhere to this proposed schedule, please do so. If you cannot adhere to this schedule, come whenever you can between 8:00 and 1:00 p.m. All individuals who are registered for a COVID-19 test on Friday will be accommodated.

8:00 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.: Pre-K students

8:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.: MPH Employees

9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.: Lower School

11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.: Middle School

12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.: Upper School

We’re all in this together: let’s get tested so that we can come back on campus safely. See you on Friday!
